COVID-19 Safety
We are committed to providing a safe and comfortable work environment on all projects. Please familarize yourself with the COVID-19 safety plan below for all projects that we produce, and all visits to our studio.
Ready to Start?
You must complete a contact tracing form at the start of each day. If it’s your first time working with us, please take a moment to read through our safety policies below.
Below is our production safety plan. In the plan below “talent” refers to anyone appearing on camera, and “crew” refers to everyone else required for the recording session.
1. Physical Elimination
- Maintain 2 metres (or 6 feet) apart from others when possible
- Production crew must avoid any close range or physical contact with talent
- No visitors, guests, or observers are permitted
- All talent and crew should travel in separate vehicles when possible
- In general, talent and crew should be treated as separate "bubbles"
Isolation
- You may not work with us in person if you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms
- You may not work with us in person if you or someone in your household has been required to isolate by a public authority
Travel Policy
- You may not work with us in person if you have travelled internationally within 14 days
- You may not work with us in person if you have travelled via commercial airline within 14 days either domestically or internationally
2. Barriers and Partitions
- Barriers, markings, flags, or restraints are installed in areas where people other than crew and talent are present
- Temporary barriers are disposed at the end of each shoot day
- Re-used or permanent barriers must be sanitized with 70% isopropyl alcohol at the beginning and end of each work day
3. Operating Procedures
- Talent may not assist with crew in anyway with equipment unless directly instructed by crew (i.e. attaching lavalier-style microphone)
- All equipment must be sanitized with 70% isopropyl alcohol before and after each location—the only exception to this is optical equipment surfaces where isopropyl alcohol would cause permanent damage
- Touched equipment that cannot be sanitized should not be used again within 24 hours
- Equipment should not be used within 10 minutes of sanitization
- Crew should not share equipment unless required to carry out job
- Crew and talent are measured for fever symptoms at the start of each shift
- Crew and talent should not consume food and beverage together unless physical distance can be maintained
- On shoots with food and beverage supplied, only single use serving products are used
4. PPE and Sanitization
- 70% isopropyl alcohol is the prefered sanitization agent
- Hypocholorous acid is the alternate sanitization agent which may be available—note that this agent is an oxidization catalyst and should not be applied to any material that can rust, and it takes approximately 3x longer to achieve the same sanitation effect. Under UV light or sunlight, this material will decompose to salt and water. If discoloration is observed on surfaces, simply wipe down with water.
- Hand sanitizer containing at least 60% ethanol alcohol or 70% isopropyl alcohol is available for all
- 3-ply disposable face masks are available for all—this should be worn at all times except for the talents when the camera is rolling
- N95 masks are available (with advance notice) for those who are immuno-compromised but we strongly discourage them from showing up to a production site unless absolutely required
- Disposable Lysol wipes and isopropyl wipes are available for sanitization of equipment (not recommended for skin)
- Nitrile gloves, shoe covers, coveralls, and face shields are available as required
5. Feedback
Please do speak up if you feel that the work environment is unsafe or uncomfortable at any point. If we need to stop work or schedule extra shoot days to make the project safe, we will do that too.
Failure to adhere to policy may result in on-site termination of contract, and permanent ban from all future business activities.
You must complete a contact tracing form at the start of each day.
